BREAKING THE BANK: THE HIGH COST OF LOW-INCOME LIVING
On December 6, 2017, the Hebrew Free Loan Society, The Jewish Theological Seminary, the Interfaith Center of New York, and the JCC Harlem hosted a panel discussion about how low-income New Yorkers manage their financial lives and the challenges they face. The panelists explored how diverse resources, from loan funds to check cashers to fintech startups, are responding to the financial needs of struggling New Yorkers.
